We are thrilled to now be an authorised IB World School for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Over the past 2 years, our dedicated team of educators have worked extensively to develop curriculum and structures which align with the IB’s rigorous standards.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a natural continuation of a Montessori education: academically rigorous, internationally recognised, and grounded in independent inquiry.
At Northside we see that the IBDP is the ideal way to continue the Montessori philosophy into senior secondary years.
The IB Diploma Programme will prepare our students to:
– Develop critical thinking, communication, and research skills
– Engage deeply across six academic subjects and the three Core subjects of Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service
– Provide a sound balance of academic excellence, personal growth and global citizenship
Universities and employers around the world recognise the IBDP for its academic challenge and for nurturing knowledgeable, principled, open-minded young adults who are prepared for tertiary study and beyond.
Our school is a close-knit community of families who enjoy the benefits of highly sought after Montessori education. Our students enjoy small class sizes, new high-quality facilities as well as highly trained and committed educators.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a wonderful opportunity for students at Northside Montessori School.
Thanks again to all the staff who have worked hard to achieve this special recognition and opportunity for our students to undertake this highly sought after end of school credential.
