Celebrating the end of Year 6 at Northside has a unique meaning for our children. They are well-prepared for the next phase of their schooling but simultaneously the children experience a strong sense of letting go to something that was very special at our school. Their strong ties to friends and staff are carried with them for years to come long after they graduate. Along with rituals like our “clap-out”, the children in levels 5 & 6 prepare and run the graduation event (almost) exclusively themselves. Both serious and funny anecdotes are shared, songs are sung and the evening finishes with dancing. The memories remain forever!
