At Northside Montessori School we acknowledge the important role that the father or carer plays in the life of the child. They are the ‘primary’ educator, nurturer, guide and person who provide their child with love, reassurance and encouragement. As a school, we build on and complement this support through the Montessori education we provide. The partnership we have with parents is valued greatly, and the Fathers’ Day Breakfast is a simple way for us to demonstrate this to the community.
Commencing with a light Breakfast at 8.00am, these special events at our school are a tribute to the Father of the children. We also welcome Grandmothers and Grandfathers, and other family members who play a significant role in the children’s lives, to the Breakfasts as well. Following general chit-chat and mingling with children and staff at the breakfast, our guests are then welcomed into the Primary classrooms which are opened until 10.30 am. This special opening of the classes provides our dads with an opportunity to see their child’s class and their work, in action.
