Overview and Process

Students are welcome to enrol at Northside Montessori School at any time throughout their educational journey. As an authentic Montessori school, our key entry levels are when the child is 3 years old; then at Year 1, Year 4 and Year 7.  We welcome children at the commencement of Kindergarten, while entry into the older years of schooling is very much dependant on a student’s suitability or previous Montessori educational experience.

Our children love coming to school every day, so come and see for yourself.  We warmly invite you to explore our campus and find out how our unique Montessori approach can help your child develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.  It’s also a wonderful opportunity to see Northside Montessori School in action, speak with students and ask more questions.

Applications for entry to Northside Montessori School are made online. An application is a pre-requisite for enrolment but does not guarantee a place. A non-refundable Application Fee, per child, is payable at the time of application. Payments can be made via our secure payment system.

We give preference to siblings of current students,  children transferring from other Montessori schools, and to children currently enrolled in our Montessori Toddler program. Please note that when assessing applications, we will give consideration to the application date and to maintaining a balance of ages and genders in our multi-age classes.

The School will contact you regarding your application and, if suitable, will arrange for you and your child to meet with the Principal.  The School will take this opportunity to understand your expectations for your child’s Montessori education as well as discuss your understanding of the Montessori approach and other expectations of families joining our School.  All enrolments are subject to the outcome of the enrolment interview.

Upon a successful interview, an Enrolment Offer will be made. A non-refundable Placement Fee, is payable upon acceptance of this offer.

Prior to starting at Northside Montessori School, you child will receive an invitation to attend an orientation in the child’s classroom and meet the teacher.

Parents are asked to keep their address and contact details current with the school. If the school attempts to contact you and there is no response, your child’s application will be cancelled.
